The brain is the most complex part of the human body. The weight
of brain is about 3 pound.
- The brain performs an incredible number of tasks including the following:
- It controls body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and breathing.
- It accepts a flood of information about the world around you from your various senses (seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching).
- It handles your physical movement when walking, talking, standing or sitting.
- It lets you think, dream, reason and experience emotions.
There's different between male and female brain. The first one is
size. Men's brains on average are 10 percent bigger than
women's and have 4 percent more cells. So, many people would make conclusion
that men are smarter than women. If we see from the logic side, men itself is
bigger than a women in terms of height and weight. So, its logic that men's
brain will be bigger than women. Women's brains contain more nerve cells and
cellular connections, so it allows their smaller, more compact brains to be
more efficient and effective.
Men have about 6.5x more gray matter in the
brain than women. Women have about 10x more white matter than men do. This
difference may account for differences in how men and women think. Men seem to
think with their gray matter, which is full of active neurons. Women think with
the white matter, which consists more of connections between the neurons. In
this way, a woman's brain is a bit more complicated in setup, but those
connections may allow a woman's brain to work faster than a man's
Men's brains tend to perform tasks predominantly with
the left-side, which is the logical/rational side of the brain. Women, on the
other hand, use both sides of their brains because a woman's brain has a larger
corpus callosum, which means women can transfer data between the right and left
hemispheres faster than men
